Fear Is Not An Option

Our guest speaker is an LUT from Unity of Houston and is currently completing her requirements for ordination as a certified Unity Minister. Rev. Robert and Rev. Belinda in Temple Unity are co-sponsoring Velma in a mentoring program for her final step in certification. Velma has a long history with Unity and metaphysical ideas that started at Unity Church of Austin. She has a warm heart and a passion for the Truth, and I encourage you to be present to hear her message. We asked her to write a brief article outlining her Sunday message which begins here:
Fear is not an Option
Everything comes to you through your very own mind.  You are in command of the infinite God-Power within you.
Decide what you want and get out of the way of the God-Power.
This belief is the 3rd Unity Principle:   I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.  (Co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in mind.)
I get so excited when I tell people about the Presence of God in each of us.
This is Unity’s 2nd Principle: The divine nature of consciousness.  I am naturally good because God’s Divinity is in me and in everyone.
If for just one split second we realized how much power we have, it would literally, in the language of the street, “blow our mind.”
We have that power.  We are all one and a part of Source.  Most of us do not know our True identity.  This is what the Master Jesus meant when he said, “I and my Father are one.”  (John 10:30)  I AM one with the Infinite. And so are you, one with the Infinite!
With this inner knowing why do we fear?  We must be aware of the power of suggestion.  Whether it is from the TV, internet, radio, newspapers or our families, friends, and communities.   There is always something that we should be made aware of, and it is good to take precautions but not to be afraid.
Join with me this Sunday, August 15th as we discuss ‘fear is not an option’.
My Presence of God beholds the Presence of God in you.
Velma Spence, L.U.T., Ministerial Candidate
Thank you for sharing Velma. You are a blessing. We look forward to being with you on Sunday.
Love, Rev. Robert
