Forgiveness Opens Awareness

In Luke chapter 15, Jesus tells the story of the prodigal son. Metaphysically, this story is about two sons. The spiritual side of us and the physical side or human nature we call the ego. The spiritual side or our connection with God is always part of who we are. This is the Christ Self that is always there waiting for our return to the Garden of Eden lifestyle that we left. The physical side or ego is the part of us that decided to separate ourselves and prove that we could do life on our own.

We hold ourselves in the insane world of the ego and endure the suffering and struggle that it creates unconsciously because we want to prove that we are proud and can-do things on our own. We also are reluctant to seek forgiveness and admit that we made a mistake.

Forgiveness, both of self and others, has profound spiritual implications. It is rooted in compassion, love, and the recognition of our interconnectedness with all beings. By forgiving ourselves and others, we align ourselves with the fundamental spiritual truth that we are all fallible, imperfect beings on a shared journey of growth and evolution. Forgiveness opens the door to healing, inner peace, and the expansion of consciousness. It enables us to cultivate empathy, understanding, and unconditional love, which are essential qualities for spiritual development and harmonious relationships that enables us to live the awakened life.

It is time to leave the old behind and build a new life as the True Christ Self that we are. This is the expected outcome of our spiritual path as we forgive the past and accept the free gift of grace that the Father extends to his children. We are each complete and whole just as we are, right now today. We can cease competing, struggling, and trying to look good and just accept and realize the divine nature that we are.
