In the beginning, Genesis 1:27 tells us that God created you in His own image. A spiritual image, complete, whole and with dominion over everything that creeps on the earth. You are divinity in action and blessed with the never-ending love from the Creator of the Universe. Many years later, in Matthew 5:14, Jesus tells us that you are indeed the light of the world.
Jesus goes on to tell us in John 14:12 that you shall do the works that He did. What a blessing to the world you are. What love and appreciation you bring to the world you live in. What a difference you make to your family, friends, spiritual community and universe just by your very Presence.
We are thankful for the time, treasure, and talents that you bring to our spiritual community no matter where you live and what you do. Just your thought of us is a blessing. We are thankful also for the blessings of turmoil, upset and suffering that you share and through your steadfast spiritual walk, have overcome through realizing the Truth of who you are. You are a true example of the application of the spiritual teachings of our master teacher, Jesus, The Christ.
This is the true spirit of our Thanksgiving holiday. After all the parades, turkey dinners, family gatherings and football games, it is the spirit of love and appreciation for who we are and what we are and the world we have created around us.
